The potato chip-like snacks.. The Vegi one was so cute i couldnt resist getting that for my boss :P I tasted one orange one and it tasted like sweet potato chips.

This was so cute!! Its really small and i love the packaging for it >.< Lavander White Chocolate.

I brought it to work and open it up.

Inside are individual chocolates.

When i first unwrapped it, it smelt like chewing gum.

But after a bite at it... it taste like i was eating perfume >.<... but not bad lah... quite nice :D

p/s: I know i should had used my 50mm, but was more excited at the fact that i have these snacks than wanting to take a nice picture of it XDXD

Bubba Gump @ The Curve

The other day we were supposed to go to Tenji Japanese Buffet Restaurant for our very first Plurk gathering.

After looking at this crowd, standing for nearly 30mins and being told that walk-in positions are full, we changed to Plan B.

To Bubba Gump @ The Curve! :)

This is a very interesting shop as they take quotes, props and also a bit of the Forest Gump movie setting :) In the middle of our meal they even play games so that we get complimentary vouchers the next tiem we visit the place :)

The Bubba Gump bucket filled with chili, tomato, paper towels, tabasco sauce, vineger and i think wet tissues.

Flip this to "Run Forrest Run" when you dont need the waiter/waiteress to wait on you. If you need their assistance, flip this over to "Stop Forrest Stop" (its red btw) and they will serve you. Interesting no?

This... i actually dunno whats it.
LOL. It was a wrong order but i've already started snapping pictures before telling Vee to dig in. Lucky he didnt. After i took the picture only the waitress apologies for the wrong order :P

Then came his correct order which was beef burger.
It was really REALLY good. The beef was so moist and seeing how little it is, Vee had trouble finish it actually :P

This is Terri's, Loonton's and Haseo's meal : Grilled Fish and Prawns with a HUGE portion of Mashed Potatoes.

She said it was too salty at the base because of the gravy/broth. Not so sure, i didnt try hers, but her onions smell were reaaaaally strong =.="

I had a problem choosing what i wanted cuz everything on the menu looks so good! So i tought why not order little of everything so i know what to order next time. Comes with 3 types of dippings :)

A bit regret about mine. It wasnt filling and the boiled shrimps were... hmm, not my kinda way of having shrimps but it was the most in quantity =.=" The rest were good tho, the fried battered ones :D

A bit pricey tho, but might come back here if i'm having some serious cravings for shrimps ;)

Wonderland @ Langkawi

Ah, this is the place which my food guide book had been talking about.

I reeeeeally wanted to try their ikan bakar there was it was their specialty and been bugging and talking about it to my parents since Day 1 in Langkawi.

There was a HUGE crowd waiting to be served/seated when we arrive around 8+. Thinking my parents would know what to order *hint : ikan bakar?* I went away to make a phone call. Only to come back being told that they "did not know what to order."

*bangs head on the wall*

This is why i prefer going out with friends. Family insist on eating whats good for the kids or rather sticking to the norm =.=

But anyways, not to say what they choose was bad lah, it was more of a meal that we would have in KL.

Kam Heong Lala...

Not really, it was dipped in ketchup and there were other ingredients there which didnt make me think it was the normal kam heong lala we usually have. Not bad tho, it was huge and fresh. There wasnt one shell that didnt have the lala in it. :P

Preserved Vegi Toufu Soup.
Nice :D but garlic gallore ahead >.<

Veggi, din touch much of this.

Fish with Tau Cheu.
Was fresh, but very little meat. By the time i wanted to snap a picture of it, half of the fish gone, taken by my sis and bro =.="

Deep Fried Sotongs.

Really good. Crunchy and nice! It came with the sweet chili as the sauce. This was better than the one in Semenyih actually :D

Butter Prawns. TO-DIE-FOR.

It was gooooooooooooooood!! SO FRESH! SO JUICY! Damn thinking about it just makes me drool >.< They only gave like 8 of them, lucky i took 2...nyek :P

Well at that time my bro wanted to go catch crabs, so while i was waiting, there was a Rojak stall nearby and i couldnt resist ordering one as there were a number of ppl having it. :P

Rojak Pesembur aka Rojak Mamak. I didnt know they both were the same thing but the one in Penang is definately different lah. You dont get your mamak guy to sing/dance to you everytime right? :P

Both were pretty good. Dad was skeptical about having a meal here cuz it was a lorry that was by the roadside but mom and i happily chomped down the both rojaks (maybe it was because we were both hungry :P)

May Yi Restaurant @ Langkawi

As i was at Langkawi for the Christmas celebration on the 26-28th, to find a place that serves good food was a bit hard to find =.=" Refering to my food guide book there's only 3 places which they recommend.

But on the first night we were STARVING so this post would be a "hungry-so-anything-goes" post :P

Their Chili Lala. No such thing as Kam Heung Lala there. It was either Marmite or this. Pretty good, the lala were abundance unlike the ones u see in KL...f3

Seaweed soup. I kinda like this soup but it was cold already by the time i savoured it. I tend to drink my soup last :P There were fishballs, baby corn, toufu and of course seaweed :) All fresh.

Curry Sotong.
Nothing much to shout about, not that spicy tho. Dad says they had to cater for the ang moh's taste buds, any spicier they'll be none left. Their tastebuds i mean :P

Deep Fried Fish ala Tom Yum.
The lady boss minus the chilis but i think with the chilis it would be the same. Fish was huge but not much meat =.="

Fried Kangkung with Belacan. Yummy :D

Overall, i was starving till i had another half bowl of rice.

Halia @ Sime Darby Convention Centre

My company had an unexpected Christmas Dinner last 2 weeks at Halia, Sime Darby Convention Centre. It was supposed to be a buffet style but it was a VERY complicated way of them making it a buffet =.="

The condiments that was on the table before we got our food.
Top : Guacamole (with garlic), Tomatoes (with garlic), Mint Sauce
Btm : Black pepper, Chili and Mushroom

My collegue and i were eyeing on the Traditional Roasted Beef that was sitting near the counter and asked for a slice (since it was buffet) but only to be told it was a separate promotion from their usual Rm35+ buffet promo. The roasted beef was a RM40+ and only entittles you for a salad of THEIR choice, the mail course and the free flow of dessert.

They did not mention that i cant take any food from the rest of the section hence i went to take my own salad.

My first round. I only eat lecttuce and cucumber lah, what do u expect?
(After that only to be told off that i cant take any food from the rest of the section =.=")

So fine, i waited for my main course.

2 HUGE slices of medium beef topped with a muffin, brocolli and 3 condiments (Mustard sauce, godknowswhat and mushroom/black pepper)

And i actually finished it... oh.my.god. =.="

Well since i couldnt have any of the other buffet serving that was served to my colleagues and bosses, they actually had grilled chicken, sausages, chicken wing, lamb, fish and beef all in kebab style. Looks good, but they said it was rather dry.

They have this Mongolian Stir fried too as you can choose the ingradiants for your stir fry but it taste okay only lah. The mushrooms were really sweet tho. Stole a few to eat from my colleague :P

My dessert came later since i was still rather filled with all the moo moos, i went to get my first round of cakes.

A bit dissapointed tho. Out of the 5 cakes, 3 were edible. 2 more if u threw it on a window, i think the window would actually break.

The jell-o and caramel custard pudding was good. :)

My cam ran out of batteries so failure to take a shot on the other desserts which i had. Oh the best part of it was they had a fondue going on :D But i ate too slow, so they only left 1 stick of watermelon + grape for me to make it like a fondue =.="

Overall, not bad lah, just that its a bit quiet and their promotions are a bit misleading. =.=

Sorry for the uber late post. Haven had time to blog about food when my weekends for December were fully booked with events after events.

Finally had time to do at least a food post today! :D (Thats also because i managed to edit the pictures on Fri :P)

Since its the 1st post of the year, lets start off with something sweet eh? :D

I haven been going to much dessert cafes since their price for dessert are really really expensive? (Think of Bakerzin?) But i've been intro-ed to this Dessert Bar by Vee. According to him it was light on the wallet, like seriously.

Their Menu

Ambience's pretty good and cozy here :)

If i'm not mistaken, this was the Banana and Apple Mash Crepe. Reaaally good. The crepe came hot and soft unlike those hard ones that i usually have.

Their hand-made, Chocolate Coffee Ice Cream. You can actually taste the Coffee aroma more than the chocolate which is good!

Rasberry Chocolate Ice Cream. I think i finished this one instead. :P

Champaign Grape

Its not champaign actually. Its apple jelly-o with chunks of grapes topped with yogurt and slices of apricot :D Vee helped me finish the yogurt while i ate the jelly :P Its a nice combo tho :)

Well overall the desserts were fab, just that it wasnt enough sweet to make my tastebuds satisfied :P And yes, its affordable.

Where else can u get a RM30 fondue? :)

After a long day of unpacking and cleaning the new office, wolfx asked whether do i wanna watch Madagascar last Sunday, only to find out that the tickets were all sold out but since i was at that area, might as well eat my dinner there.

Thats when he suggested this place instead of Dragon-I. Well, since he "strongly" suggested it, i said ok lo...

Welkam to Waroeng Penyet!
Their menu are the leaflets and you had to pay first before your food is served... fast food concept.

We both ordered "Soda Gembira"
Which is actually Miranda Strawberry + Condensed Milk. It doesnt taste as sweet as you think, but think of bandung with soda.

My Udang Penyet(i think it was called that...lol)

The prawns were soft shelled, so you can either eat the shell or choose to deshell them, which was what i did after eating 3 with shell, the feeling is very weird la =.= Taste wise, pretty good, the sambal that came with it rocked. Dipping the fried toufu in it was superb! The fried batter on it was really tasty, wishing there was more =.= The other toufu look-a-like was the tempe. Didnt have it till he forced me to try... which i didnt like..*blek*

Ayam Penyet (Flatten Chicken)

He said it tasted nice, but i didnt try (regret) The rest of the side dishes were the same like mine.

The Gado-Gado

(Tasted ok, like the mamak rojak with peanut sauce)

The Bakso

I loved this one minus the parsley and spring onions and fried sharlots =.= the broth was delicious but the meatball the both of think it was a bit too raw... When you slice the meatball, the middle part is still very chewy and gooey... both of us didnt know is it supposed to taste like that but i gulped them down with chili sauce that they gave.

Soup Masam (Sour Soup)

This one is very nice also, contained corn, french beans, peanuts and cabbage. Its not like Tom Yum but its spicy and sour too. Very addictive :P And yes i ate the peanuts...wished it was softer tho..=.=

Spaghetti Grill @ Mid Valley

A new "deli" at Mid Valley. Its a small franchise under Chill's. Forgot to take the menu picture but the logo looks similar.

Went to this place since Wolfy and Vector asked me to made the decision (i dont get it, why must girls make the decision? Even at work, my colleagues and 2nd company boss ask me to make the decision =.=)

Anyway, since all 3 of us were new to this place, we ordered different stuff so that we can try out everything.

My Monkey Shake!
Consist of chocolate, banana, vanilla and whip cream! (i think there was something else, but i cant rmb) There are other Banana milk shake choices as well that had pineapple and only vanilla, but i heart choco!

Had lunch at IKEA with my colleagues since one of them haven tried the food there before (cant blame him, he's from Sarawak =.=)

This is my colleague's dessert, the Marzipan Slice cake.
(I tried a bite, pretty good, wished the cookies were crunchy instead tho ;))

2nd colleague's dish the Fish burger from the kiddy meal.

(Like how can anyone go to ikea and skip their meatballs?? Colleague 1 got the 15 in a plate with the cake... his bill was 2x more than what i had.)

Madam Kwan's @ Mid Valley

The asam laksa was... actually terrible =.= I didnt finish it as the taste of it is so weird! Regretted it... The "Malaysian Cuisine" asam laksa sure didnt taste like this or mere close to it at all!

This was Arty's plate. Very, VERY tempting especially when mine sucked.

Since my main wasnt as appetiting as i thought it should be, it was a lucky thing i ordered the Fried Banana Fittlers with Maple Syrup and Vanilla Ice Cream.

Its the time again where i'll be anticipating the annual feast of my friend's mom's cooking. Seriously, her cooking is so good, any mamak/indian restaurant i go to, cant compare to hers.

Went here with my colleagues the other day. Since my friend said the food there isnt too bad, thought it would be nice to give it a try and a change in our lunch meals.

I'm a big fan of durians.

Like BIIIIIG fan.

So when i saw this selling ay Pyramid last year, i just knew i had to get them.

RM10 for 6.
All worth it when you just crave for durians on a non durian season. They might not taste as good as the real thing, but say 98.4%? :P

Take a bite and you'll indulge yourself in fresh whip cream and the flesh of the durian wrapped in a pancake layer.

Well, like last year, we hentam her cookies first. Some were home made, some they bought.

London Almond (A must in EVERY celebration), Cornflakes and a homemade cookie by her mom.

With all the busy and hectic work load in the office, finally both bosses of my office manage to go out once for a goooooood treat :D

And when i say good, i mean real good :)

The interior is very cozy, i sorta like the place. Its filled with Japanese interiors.

Green Tea Pot (Refillable)

Appetizer; cold tofu in light soy sauce. Very nice, to kick start those tatse buds! :D

Boss ordered this Sashimi, looking at how raw it was, he forced everyone to eat at least 1 peice. Which made me hate it for the rest of my life =.=.

Of course, it was dipped with Wasabi and Soy Sauce.

Most of us ordered the set meals, so it came with a few stuff.

The mini salad with a different dressing.
It was slightly different from 1000 Island but taste a bit similar to it. None the less, very nice :)

And also the Miso Soup, which in everyone's opinion it was rather salty.

My Prawns in Spicy Gravy.
Its like Prawns in Chili Sauce + Onions... *4 thumbs up :D

Before i show you the pictures of the other main courses, i noticed that the waitress/waiter would stir the egg and rice together before arranging the meat on the top, thats why the pictures wouldnt be as pretty as they look in the menu.

My colleague was wondering why isnt there any egg when the menu has one, only to find out it was stirred with his rice after i told him :P

My boss's Vegetarian dish which consist of lecttuce, bamboo shoots and mustard leaves.

Lee's meal that had chicken and soup to go with the rice, something like it would be a broth based rice. Like porridge.

Word of advise if you're ordering the hot bowl, put the rice on to a small plate that is on the table or else it'd be very hot and hard to eat :P

After eating, came our desserts! :D

(Colleague didnt know his was a sorbet and was saying that it was rather grainy with the ice =.="")

Jusco Suki-Suki Kitchen @ Mid Valley

You know, when you're so broke that chap fan dont appeal to you anymore and every bread that you've eaten taste the same eventho u tried changing the jams or making it toasted, here's a good place for you to change your meal.

Situated in Jusco Supermarket, they have the fried stuff with Terriyaki sauce (eg : Quails eggs, Fishball, Meatball, Croquettte and many more), cheap sushi's, hot meals like Nasi Lemak or Nasi Briyani in tupperwares and also marinated/fried chickens.

But they also have the bento boxes! :D

They're really cheap (RM5-10) for one and there is the whole balanced meal as they provide the veggi, rice and meat! :D

This is Terri's one, where she choose the Terriyaki Chicken Bento :)

The Chicken patty, egg, sausage and veggi was my all time favourite.

Best part of it? They both were on a 40% off because we bought it around 9:30pm where they wanna get rid of the day's batch. :P Never the less, they provide heating up service so your food will stay hot and nice to eat :D

I had this during my lunch break on Friday.

Note that dine here when you're not in a rush because i end up being here for nearly an hour and it took me 30mins to get back to the office (yes i had a nearly 2 hours ++ lunch break =.="" It was a lucky thing my boss wasn't in and there weren't much urgent jobs to be done.)

Our table was on a barrel + glass :D Very cool lo :P

I ordered the Set Lunch which was a Bruschetta with Tomatoes, Parsley and Spicy Bacon.

It was, just really, GOOD. The bruschetta was crispy as tho it was just baked (probably it was..lol) and the meat was really really tasty. I found it it was spicy when i accidentally bit into the "cili padi that was inside"....=.=" And yes, i scraped off the tomatoes :P

My Linguine Cabonara with Bacon.

When i say bacon, i meant REAL PORK bacon :P

Lotsa 'em! Plus the fact that this dish was just out from the pan, so it was really hot and nice :) No bits of cheese! Eventho i think they put a tad too much on the Olive Oil but overall it was really good.

With Bacon, Egg and Cheese. You actually get to pick the ingrediants on your gourmet burgers which is superb! :D

I ordered Onion Rings and Nugget. The fries were from my set meal which was Swiss Burger with Mushroom.

4 peices of nugget. I dont think they taste nice =.=" I still prefer McD or A&W ones :D

Had this last 2 weeks ago.

This was what my friend ordered, some spicy pizza. With lotsa chunk of meat (think its turkey bacon...)

And this was mine. Cabonara Spaghetti with Bacon and Peas.

Not really nice. The cheese which was suppose to coat the spaghetti did not melt so i was tasting lil bits of cheese...which i dont really fancy. The cabonara was rather dry in compare to the one i had at San Francisco Pizza @ Bangi. Probably i favour the more gravy cabonara better than this =x

Gourmet Lolipops!

Yes, its actually handmade lolipops from Macau :P Available in 4 different flavours; Butterscotch, Chocolate, Vanilla and Cafe Latte.

The packaging from inside the box was pretty simple.

Just a plain wrapper around it with the company's brand on the stick.

Shin Chan Ramen @ Solaris, Mt Kiara

Before i start, this pictures has been in my log for a very long time, so i cant remember what the dishes are called. But i remember whats in it lah :P

I went with my boss, 2nd company boss and 2nd company boss's gf (which to date, i dont even know her name =.="" <--pathetic) to the brand new Solaris. Its not IN solaris, its actually located outside of Solaris.

But the name got me laughing and send an MMS to Des, knowing that he would post it up :P

A restaurant dedicated to the boy with the thick eye brows or to a certain purpur kahler dinosaur :P

We were given a towel each and all of us ordered green tea (can refill ma :P)

The interior actually is really small, but with the mirrors the put into the shop, it felt spacious and comfy :)

Oh and if you're bored, there's a shelf full of comic for you to read. I went to see what did they have and it was eitehr in Japanesse or Chinese =.=" and the comics were a bit outdated =x Should had put Shin Chan comics :P

This is my boss's dish.

When it came i was like "omgomgomgomg, plsplspls dont let it be what i ordered!!" And yes, *phew* it wasnt. Filled with only spring onions and a raw yolk, the bottom was actually rice and it came with a bowl of miso soup (which i rmb, my boss spilt it accidentally =x)

This is 2nd company boss's dish. If i'm not mistaken its their famous Shin Chan ramen which consist of pork ribs? Cant see clearly, cuz the amount of soup is very very generous.

This is what his gf had, something similar (egg, broth and noodle) but the only difference if i recall her's was pork stripes.

And here's mine! Cant remember what's it called, but there were prawns and LOADS veggi.

The prawns were covered with flour; fried and put it inside which i think it wasnt nesassary.

The whole thing was rather, "lam pek pek" or soggy and it wasnt really that nice altho there were huge! Just look at the size and compare it with the spoon =.="

When we went they had a promotion of buy 1 ice cream, get another free, so we bought 2 and the girls got it free...hehehe :P

This is my and 2nd company boss's black sesame seed ice cream which was really nice if i didnt gobble it down quickly because boss was late for an meeting.

And this is boss's and 2nd company's boss's gf's (wah so many ' ) green tea ice cream. They said it wasnt sweet at all and the black sesame one was nice :P

Boston @ Jusco Bukit Tinggi

Went there the other day to satisfy my cravings since i can only think of that place which has the best steamboat to date :) They've apparently re-vamped their menu from a cipalang one sheet with EVERYTHING on it to a proper one.

They've even added new flavours to the soup which if my memory serves me right, would be tom yum and herbal.

But still, better safe than sorry, i rather stick to the soup base which was good enough for me :)

The bowl, spoon and laddle.

Two type of condiments, one is chili based and the other is a mixture of sesame seed, fried sharlots, oil/sesame oil/soy sauce and spring onions.

One thing i dont get is that, this temperature setter (got such word?) is pink but the menu is green. A case of inconsistency? But then again, typeface same wor. The pink one works better tho, green reminds me of Boston Asset =x

I had the Mushroom Set which they gave me extra one plate of golden mushroom *goodie!* One thing i worry when they give all the seafood (excluding the prawns and fish) would be whether are they fresh or spoilt. Had a bad case at Boston before and made me phobia to eat any of the other seafood. Just becareful of what u eat la, put one first, then only the other one...>.<

My friend had the mutton set which i called for him since he gave the decision making up to me :P and the last time i was here, terri said the mutton was good :)

The fish noddle with strings of tung fun which i order separetly with a plate of cabbage as well :D Boston was really generous with the fish noodle portion and its fresh! :)

My dessert, Vanilla ice ceam with flavoured shaved ice and BANANAS!! It rocks ;) Don't worry, the toilet is next to Boston :P

San Francisco Pizza @ Bangi

Was supposed to be posted up yesterday night, but got too sien waiting for my pictures to be uploaded... anyways...

Last weekend my family and i went out for dinner. Mom has been bugging dad to go this pizza house at Bangi, which was rather "in" because there isnt much western restaurants which are good in Kajang.

In fact i could count them with 1 hand only =.="

Sis had a Coke Float, Bro, Watermelon juice and mom's Lime Special. Mine is the one with the pink swirls. No idea what was it...

Wild Mushroom Soup, decent taste and texture, not so watery and the wild mushroom taste is there which is good!

Dad's Black Pepper Steak, well done. It was a bit tough but ok la.
Weird combo of veggi's underneath it tho, was a mixture of fried cabbage, french beans and carrots, like those chap fan veggi =x.

One thing i noticed about their coaster was this.

You see the part where its in a shade of gray? Thats where the vaporised water is stored. The whiter area are not affected. And behind the coaster is made of plastic. This way the water does not leave marks on the table due to thin coasters + they save cost on it :) Pretty cool loh :P

A&W @ Sunway Pyramid

After having to go around Pyramid shopping for my outfit, i was also craving for another thing, A&W Root Beer and Waffles :P

And i think it was an hour after i ate... or and hour and a half.

Previously the restaurant was under renovations, so it was kinda hard to get A&W meals, and i was too lazy to go to Cheras Leisure Mall or KLCC (wait, maybe i should go there one day) so knowing the one in pyramid was open already, i immediately went in!

My root beer! :D Am actually kinda dissapointed because i prefer drinking from the kick-ass mug? That one brings the flavour of the root beer and it actually stays cold even longer. (Gah, craving for root beer now...=.=)

Looking at the amount of honey i poured onto the waffle, it wasnt sweet actually. Which was good, because it was a WHOLE LOT of honey! I poured the whole cup on half of the waffle, cuz the other half Jackie burried it in ice cream =.="

Shilin Taiwan Snack

This post goes out to Doc since he was talking about it the other day, and it got my craving buds activated. :P

So, i went out yesterday to pyramid (cuz the guys working there damn nice weh, so much better than the lanci one in One Utama) to get my outfit for Convocation and to do last min shopping :P

I actually got hooked to it no thanks to Sagi, since he intro this to me when he first came down here. And i really never looked back.

The logo and packaging.

Their Oyster Mee Sua. Its really in thick broth and has shredded chicken peices, oysters and parsley leaves (which i told them not to put cuz i hated them). Optional on the sambal tho :)

The oysters are... like raw. In which i dont take them... Serious =.= Usually i'll just give someone who does :P

Their Crispy Chicken XXL. This is goooooooooooood. Usually if i didnt had the Mee Sua, i could finish this all by myself. But too stuffed so i gave half to Jackie instead to prevent food wastage =x

Next on the menu are the Seafood Tempura and also the popiah-like chicken floss with egg. Didnt order these cuz already too stuffed and i dont fancy the chicken floss one.

Since its really a good business to start, i'm wondering who's gonna bring it to Kajang :D :P

Old Town White Coffee Kopitiam @ Sungai Long

Went out with Sam and Rac on the 2nd day of Raya since she was back in Kajang plus the fact that she just moved into her SPANKING NEW PENThouse :P

So before i went into her ~~mansion~~ house, we went to makan first and i just noticed that i never really took good pictures in Old Town. The rating of the food was only so so i guess, but the night before i was craving madly for nasi lemak... no thanks to a food whore blog.

Charger told me that the prices of each Kopitiam is different, so i tot might as well check the one in Sg. Long.

My Nasi Lemak Rendang :D Which really didnt had the "omph" like the one at my office... i think i shall have it on monday :D

Since Sam cant take anything hot (the consequences would be a country...or 2) so i told her to get the Nissin Noodle with Ham and Egg instead (Cuz it was good)

My BlueBerry Vanilla Ice-Cream. Ok la, i think it wasnt sweet enough... just really cold.

Ice Cream on toast. Rac and Sam said its a must have.

Have to compress it before eating.

Verdict? I dont like it, cuz it was crispy and cold inside and not that sweet. I still prefer the white kinda kopitiam bread with kaya/ice cream. That one BEST! :D

And i didnt try the coffee there. If i did, i'd bomb another country as well since i was having rendang :P

Bazaar Ramadhan @ Sunway Mosque

As i've promised myself i would go and take pictures from a Ramadhan Bazaar. And i did!

Coincidentally i found myself company to accompany me to the Bazaar and according to him, he never entered a mosque and was asking whether his tak-halal car can go in a not. =.=" 1 point for being responsible, -5 for not knowing the rules of a mosque. (But then again, i was like him when i first went it...wakakak!)

The one we went was at Sunway Mosque. Opposite Sunway Pyramid and its next to the Mobil Station. I've been there last year with Wani and co. for last year's buka puasa :D But since i went on the last weekend of puasa, there wasnt much stalls left but the main ones are there.

Lets start with something light; Kuih-Muihs!

My personal favourite is the one which is on the top left corner.

It has 2 layers which the top one is santan, and the bottom is thick pandan flavoured jam? with water chestnuts. To die for if its cold and sweet! There is also the Popiah Basah and Kering beside it.

Another personal fav is the middle kuih, the one in red which is actually sago in syrup and coated with coconut flakes.

I didnt get this cuz last year when i bought it, not sweet geh =.=" There is the Kuih Jagung, Kuih Bahulu, and also the green version of the sago but will be dipped in gula melaka. All i've tried before in random places.

Cempedak Goreng. *2 thumsb up* Friend brought it and it was crunchy. But they stick together, like 2-in-1. :D

I think to find a good Nasi Campur stall would be from the number of patrons around it. But then again, there wasnt much nasi campur stalls to begin with :P The dish which i always look for would be the pucuk rebung aka bamboo shoots which they cook in santan :D Best!

Chicken and Beef Murtabak

Some of the stalls, instead of making it into a Nasi Campur one, they've pre-packed the dishes like Nasi Tomato and Nasi Ayam so that the patrons could just grab, (pay) and go.

The Nasi Tomato, and on the left is the Nasi Ayam.

Altho i don't really buy stuff from these stall *hint : hygenic purposes* but the pak cik was so kind to give me a shot of his dish;

Nasi Kerabu! I was lucky cuz the customer wanted it and the pak cik let me shoot it before giving it to the customer. Unique part of a Nasi Kerabu? The rice is blue! :D

Then we have BBQ Chicken Hearts (I think la, it looks small and about the same size. Can someone verify this? Thanks!)

BBQ Chicken Liver. This one can tell the difference cuz of the colour :P (But then again it might be beef...uh)
BBQ Chicken Wings! (No wrongs in this one :P)

Then we have Roti John where the egg batter of minced chicken/beef and onion placed in between and then fried on a hot pan.

When the egg's cooked, a row of salad (usually shredded cabbage and carrots) places on top of the egg.

Then the Chili Sauce is added.

Black Pepper Sauce added. It was good as sold when they added this :P

And lastly mayo.

Now with your dessert and main course bought, you need something to quench your thirst right?

The DAP stall. I bought my drink here which i would show u later on. The 2nd drink from the right was in NEON GREEN. Put it into a dark room and i bet my 50 cents it's gonna glow.

Upon finishing buying whatever we liked (because we can? hehehehe) We buka our "puasa" 1 hour earlier than the Muslims. And these are our fruits of our labour.

Told ya i couldnt resist John's long stick. :P It was good. No thanks to the black pepper sauce. :D

Friend's ayam percik. He said the sauce was good but the chicken wasnt marinated with it hence it was a tad tatseless.

His Pulut Kelapa. The coconut was inside.

Also Onde-Onde. Gula Melaka filling but this was too much of the flour and less of the gula melaka =.= Will gag if eat too much of this.

This is was what i drank. No its not Blue Sea or Vodka Spirite or BLUEberry juice. It was, get this; AIR LIMAU. Yes. Lime Juice... IN BLUE! And the red thingamajig is Sirap Agar-Agar Which is reaaaaaally sweet. Look how nice it is side by side like primary colours? All i'm missing is Yellow.

Now this is what i get when i drank the blue lime juice.

And this is what i get when i eat the jelly AND drink the juice. PURPLE!

Yes it was so much fun laughing at my tongue color that i forgot what it would do to my tummy =.="

Anyways, i had losta fun taking these pictures :D And i know i've missed out a few stuff like porridge (bubur lambuk), desserts ( manisan : red bean, green bean) and many other food. But then hor, if i were to go around taking pictures and asking them "Boleh ambik gambar tak?" I think i might as well just wear a tag that says, FOOD PHOTOGRAPHER. (plus the fact i a bit malu la =.=)

Oh, and one more thing. My friend who is a foodie himself, din recharge his DSLR and was stuck looking at me taking my pictures :P

This chocolate is different as each one had a different filling. SO far i've tasted strawberry, caramel, and etc... Its the bits from Cadbury Snack. Its bar no 2 :P . I haven open the Crunch one tho. *itchy hands*

I had the peppermint one too last time. Sigh, cant get these in your typical supermarket. Usually i find these in airports. =.=" Not to mention its sorta in the huge bar which i hate. I prefer the smaller ones so that i can finish at one go. The bigger one makes it impossible for me to finish within one day.

Unless i super kao emo like yday lah =.="

And since my last food post was about fast food, tot of showing my "first" meal at Wendy's.

I always go for the safest food in any restaurants, nuggets! :D Oh, and yes, its a kiddy meal, (Nugget + Fries + Drink = Free toy :D)

The thing with me is that i'm not really a fan of burgers. Why?

1) There's vegi in it. That means onions.
2) The sauce they use would 100% be tartar/mayo. Which both i dont take.
3) Too mafan, cuz the sauce would be dripping, patty senget one side and u'll end up eating the buns or worst, bitting into the onions. Yes i know, i'm damn picky with my food.

My mom and granny cooks garlic in a HUGE portion and they're in... bits and peices as small as spring onions and i would have to either :-
1) painstakingly push them aside
2) dip it into soup based gravy (like lat thong?)
3) don't eat veggi. This is the easiest option actually... LOL.

So definately nuggets or something plain (like Fillet O'Fish, which i tell them dont put the tartar sauce :P) There was a time where McChicken was with 1000 Island sauce. My fav burger at that time. Then they took it out from their menu. knnmch.

The Baked Potato in Chili Sauce and Baked Beans was, very stuffing. Thats y i ordered the kiddy meal :P

I've even tried Wendy's, Karl's Jr. Love Wendy's baked potato :P but haven eaten anything savoury from Karl's.

Haven tried the soup in powder form tho... next time ba, when office got water dispenser =.="

Anyway, McD's launched their Spicy Chicken McNuggets again, and i'm lovin it! :D:D

(I noticed something in the picture, the fries damn screwed up weh the photography, go put the vector art to touch it up..LOL, it looks kering kongtang lo!)

Has always been a big fan of their spicy nuggets altho last year's one was a tad TOO spicy, gotta grab the Spirte before i can even finish 1 piece =.="

Also they had the McShakers again! Curry flavour this time. Their seaweed one was purrdy good weh! :D

Note to self : Don't finish half of the fries before putting in the flavouring, it was too over powering =.="

The nuggets were gooooooooooooooooooood. Should had bought the 9 pieces instead =.=" Bro and i walaped the whole 6 pieces.

The Chakri Palace @ KLCC

Had this the other day for lunch. Was unexpected, thats y didnt bring digicam =.=" Thinking that we were going to the food court to eat something cheap cheap.

But never the less, been a while since i last ate a good tom yum gong which i still think nothing beats the one i had at the ThaiFair 2 years back *drools just thinking at it*

As always, a must to try the tom yum at a Thai restaurant :P But then, it wasnt really blow-your-mind!! kinda thing, i guess it was just good? I prefer the more hot than sour type of tomyum.

Des had the green curry, this angle took everything that was on his plate, curry, mango salad, prawns, crackers and rice.

This is... stuffed crabs. Had glutinious rice 20mins before i ate this, so i didnt really walap the whole thing.

This drink i enjoyed most amongst the rest, Longan and Jelly in syrup :D

Overall, it was rather... disspointing actually. Not to say that i dont appreciate him bring me there, but i would actually expect better taste than this.

Guess i really would need to go to Thailand to makan tomyum =.= or just pray that the ThaiFair would come back (If anyone knows where the fair would be held, let me know yeah?)

If not i'll just stick to my Maggi Tom Yum for now :(

This restaurant is located at Jusco Cheras Selatan. A hongkie wanna-be restaurant la i can say. A mixture of Chinese, Western and Japanese food in it.

And also this was the place that i treated my family with my first paycheck. (I know, a bit cheapo =.=" Buy hey, its the thought that counts)

I had the Corn with Crab Stick (fake) soup. Didnt enjoy this, would prefer if they gave read crab meat.

My sis had this Nissin Noodle. I tell ya, it runs in the family to eat Nissin Noodle...lol.

Bro's Mushroom soup. Think it was thick enough.

Mom's dish. I cant remember what was it, Sze Chuan style Nissin? Prabably...with Chicken Fillet.

And my Black Pepper Beef Spagetthi. Pretty good :)

My mom was the one who introduced this to me. After that i can't eat it often cuz its ridiculously expensive for a primary student to buy it. Heck even when i was in secondary i don't get this. Wait, i don't think i actually ate much chocolate when i was in high school.

Only then in college i started munching anything my tummy craves for, since KK Mart and 7-11 is around the corner :P

Anyway, back to Kinder Joy.

The taste? I would say almost the same as the Bueno one, but this has more chocolate on it. The bueno one is wrapped with chocolate but this u can walap the chocolate before consuming the rice balls, which if my tastebuds did not fail me, is coated with chocolate, crispy wafer layer and hazelnut chocolate inside.

I don't remember what's the exact name for the restaurant but it's situated on the ground floor opposite Coffee Bean. Gotta make that disclaimer before someone goes all smarty pants and correct me.

I think the problem with me eating pork is the shape of it. I sorta noticed i wont eat the pork unless its perfectly cut into thin stripes or slices WITHOUT the fat/skin. Hmm, i don't reall take roasted pork also during CNY. :P

The other month, i had serious cravings for luk-luk or more like dipping skewered food into the hot water as i've NEVER eaten luk-luk before. Or maybe i did but just couldn't rmb..hehehe.

The reason y i am put off sometimes at luk-luk was because well put it this way, u dip it in BOILING hot water, but so did the other 15 customers before you who drove round n round looking for a nearest parking to the lorry and the cars next to it doing like 50kmph on a dusty road and u're there eating by the roadside.

Hygenic? I don't think so.

But aaaaanyways, i tell u, after having the first bite, it was like... FINALLY!!!

Des brought me to this Fattyman Steamboat which i have no idea which started first, Fattyboy or this. Who cares whats his name, i just wanna eat :P

Okay, i just remembered i haven posted up the pictures when i was at Johor, but there were not much to take in the first place tho since we arrived there at 6pm and only went out when YP came.

Anyways, when YP came we all went out to the Hawker stalls to eat cuz i was craving for Ikan Bakar :P But then again, what IS good in johor? My food Bibble only featured day time noodle nia, so i guess seafood would be the only choice right? (Besides the constant craving for prawns and seafood? :P)

The Honey Sea Coconut with Longan. Heck they threw in some jelly in it too! How come we dont get things like this in KL?

Kam Hieong Clams. Yes, they're CLAMPS, not LALAS altho its the same thing, but lala the shell is thinner and its MUCH tastier. These were not so fresh, 3 of us didnt like it.

Had an extravagant lunch today. The only time i'll go to these places would be someone's gonna get married or CNY eve.

Poor me thinking that we'll be having Yong Tau Foo, i didnt bring my digicam with me *fails as Kinky Kitchen Mod T.T* Next time i think i'll buy 2 camera and leave one in Des's car another in mine.

We went to The Regent Hotel where they serve one of the best Chinese cuisines i've tasted before besides the Marriotte Hotel one for CNY, now that was equally good too, altho that time i had to share my food with 12 others :P

This time its all for meeeee :D:D Ok, not really, Des didnt wan2 eat so he forced me to eat all of em. Not that i'm complaining :P

Hmm, Deep Fried Toufu with Scallop. This one was really nice, altho it was the last one i ate, it was still hot in the inside and the scallop was fresh!

Sichuan style Prawns. Me likey :D But not spicy as i thought it would be. Very fresh tho :D:D

Stimed Cod Fish. This was MARVELOUS! I've never been a fan of cod fish cuz with all the fatty flesh, but eating this was like eating any other fishes. It was really, really good.
Hmm, not sure what this was but i think its a vegetarian dish where they have the Mushrooms and Vegi. The thick gravy was nice :D

Then it was dessert time! Honey Sea Coconut with Lemon

And Chilled Black Jelly.

Yeah, you hear me saying its fresh and nice, but it really is! No fishy smell nor was the meat rubbery like other restaurants. Too bad the picture you cant see that well, but it was good. With good company too :D

Overall, one hella lunch i had cuz i dont have it that frequent, like how many ppl are gonna invite me for wedding dinners every month la? :P Maybe its not the time yet, but yeah...heheh 10 years down the road? Probably i'll start to close my eyes and pick a wedding card to go to :P

I have very weird cravings sometimes and NO i'm not pregnant. Its just that i get a lot of food cravings that makes me picky in what i eat. The other night, Monday if i'm not mistaken, i woke up at blardy 5am craving for something that i wont get at that time.

Rojak.

And not just any rojak. Its the one my mom brought back from some pasar malam. Its different cuz its not like the usual mamak rojak u have at the mamak shop. Its ala chinese, which means the sauce is the tong tau foo one.

Weird?

You tell me :P

The fili-fala's in it are the prawn biscuits, seafood taufu, fish ball, fish cake and cucumber. This dish reminds me of the pesembur back in penang...minus that dancing and singing ah neh. *freaky!*

Then there was once where i was craving for Nasi Pataya. Oooo... the egg... *Drools* (fuck, another craving coming back...=.=")

Was fulfilled when i was having lunch with Des the other day. Boleh la the rice, soso only. What i really wanted was the fried rice with the abundance of egg! (i like eggs :P minus the yolk in hardboiled.)

Then since its been UBERLY long (okay, 2 years) since i last moved house, so i used to crave for the Lo Mai Kai at the pau stall in front of my old house. I grew up eating this Lo Mai Kai and seriously, no other Lo Mai Kai can compare itself to this baby :D

Was fulfilled when my aunty wanted me to do some work for her. I immediately asked her to tapau this for me as she was living quite near my old house :P Ok wert, one Lo Mai Kai as a payment for a registration form and some letters :P

And when i'm NOT working or anywhere near the office... i'll be drooling at maggi mee. Not just ANY maggi mee. Those Nissin noodles which is different from ur "curry" flavoured one.

Its always with stuff like eggs, sausage, vegi, ham, pork... etc. This bowl came from the restaurant below my office. They got good reviews on their Mihun Tom Yum but i think its just soso? :P Another 2 Nissin noodle that i used to crave for was the one at Kim Gary with the Ham and Egg and the other is at Old Town Kopitiam, the Ham and Egg :P

Rotating Restaurant @ KL Tower

Lunch was at the rotating restaurant ala buffet style but unfortunately, we went to the restaurant rather late...

And this was the queue for the buffet *faints* Lucky i had the coffee in the morning, or else i would had fainted queuing up for this! So tucking in my tummy i did the only thing that was available and untouched.

Taking the pictures of the desserts. ALL FOR THE SAKE OF MY BLOG *sobs, what have i sold my soul for...*

The desserts were to dieeeee fooooooor!!!! But i haven had anything solid and i dowan to risk 2 hours in the toilet and skipping the seminar. So i also lined up lo (after taking the pictures) and THIS was the queue. =.=

And FINALLY when its was time for MY turn to get the food, plates are finished =.=" But waited a while (and took loads of pictures of the food) for the plates to come.

Located in Hartamas, i got to taste it as my boss was craving for it one day. =P Bojuk is actually a Korean restaurant specialize in porridge. The name itself sounds like "pou chuk" or porridge...hehehe. I find that place pretty cosy since there's not much customers (like who wants to eat porridge in MALAYSIA la? =.=") but the food there was pretty good with good service ^^

Michael (My Boss) and Lee (The Other Company Boss) ordered Ginseng with Kimchi and Salmon Kimchi. It actually looks like your average porridge that you eat everyday in ur house?

Mine is Shrimp Porridge cuz it was the safest choice to choose...lol. They gave side orders like Kim Chi, beef, seaweed soup (dun taste like Miso cuz its clearer) and this chili with errr...radish or pear. Can't remember. It taste pretty good. Must tell mom to substitute her pork with shrimp one day...=x

But THIS, THIS was DA BOMB of the whole meal. Its a drink which they serve before your meal and it taste super sweet! I tot it was some fruit juice like pear or apple (Boss hinted peach) so i kaypoh a bit i asked what was the drink.

And guess what? The restaurant owner said....

Papaya Tea.

Finally. Its over =)

All the tears and bloodshed during this 3 years has FINALLY come to an end. And i would say a spectacular end. ^^

PR did a great job yday in making the whole event worked. CheeKin was running up and down with MY tag to God knows where, OPX and Ang running around getting stuff, Wani n Fadzil in charge of the Audi, Ben and Cal...hmmm... think they were in the Gallery. I din see mu7ch of them cuz i was in the Food Classroom =P

And as promised, FOOD PORN!

Okay, so at first we had the Cheese and Ham right? I didnt know that they were gonna do something like THIS!

Zucchini, Cheese, Ham BBQ sauce and Cherry Tomatoes!

They made an army of them...lol and it was really good (they say, i didnt take one cuz i dun take cheese and tomatoes) and was finished very fast when the guests arrived for their refreshments.

Next we have, Egg Mayo.

In TOMATOES! They took out the filling inside of the tomatoes and stuff it with the egg mayo. Quite a number of left overs so i took home some =P

Whats inside... Not a very good shot i know but when i went back to the classroom they had done most of the food and was covered d...

Then we have rice! The ingrediants as what May told me was spices + ham and sprinkled with dried shallots and oregano.

Baskin Robins

When Koi was down in KL previously, we had Baskin Robbins (BR) together. He actually ate it earlier as i was with Ken, Angel and Materlline and he was waiting for me to finish that lil gathering of mine.

But he had another round of it when we were watching Death Note 2 (Boring btw, i fell asleep right after disc 1 =.=") I ordered Hokey Pokey + Choco Chip with Peppermint and he had uh... Almond Pistachio and Hokey Pokey too (I think, correct ah?)

But the last time i had 2 pints, the fella just chuck it into a paper bag with dry ice. But this time they actually gave a cute packaging for it!

See the polysterine box? Its to store the 2 pints! *awes* But don't u think its kinda wasting space? Love the bag tho ^^

So when we were about to eat, we realized that there were no SPOONS in the blardy room. Only 2 stirrers for coffee. So, bo pian, had to use it =.=" Took be an hour to finish somemore cant really eat the ice cream that much due to it being so lil on the spoon. In the end most of my ice cream had melted and i just drank it up.

Aa, since they gave us dry ice, Koi put some water in it and viola~! U get the misty effect in those horror movies =P Oh, not to mention the wa

Every year, Sushi King has this RM2 promotion for every plate you eat regardless of its colour (For u who don't know, the price of food is decided on what colour the plates are) and its happening this week from 7-10th of April.

But you'd to be a member with their privilege card to have that discount =P

I've always been a Sushi King member 3 years ago, and they always send me the newsletter with infomation on whats new on their menu plus any special promotions thats been going on.

Thats y, i dare not try other Japanese Fast Food Restaurant like GenkiSushi, YoSushi or even Shogun cuz i'm already used to Sushi King's flavour...hehe

Haagen Dazs Fondue @ Sunway Pyramid

Since it has been oh so long since i last time blogged (heh, lazy) I really dunno what to blog abt lah. So i'll go back to my food porn which i'll be talking abt the Hagen Dass Fondue, which is, i think, every girls dream to taste one.

Well i can scrape that off from my Things-To-Do-Before-I-Die List...hehe (not that i have one..XD)

Went there on the 28th Feb, a day after my birthday. Actually planning to go during my bday, but we were kinda stuff after Dragon-i so decided the next day only go (cuz i finished quite early that day)

Best part of it is, that they actually give free water for us to gulp down after that sweet aftertaste of the ice cream/choco. Got lemon inside somemore =P

This is the fondue with all the dippings.

There was strawberry, coffee, chocolate and almond flavoured ice-cream balls ^^

Also apples, strawberries and.... BANANAS! (sings : I like to eat, eat, eat, apples and bananas =P) Koi made me eat the apples and strawberries cuz he dun take them, most of my bananas gone by the time i wanna eat =(

Choco chip cookies (Which koi sapu all also f3), cubes of butter cake and choco waffle stick + nuts (Thank God they gave separately.. f3)

The fondue container they split into 2, good also cuz one compartment each =P
Ze chocolate ice-cream coated choco (i bet u're drooling now...XD)

The butter cake which taste REAAAAAAALLy good with the choco...like seriously >.< The bad part about the fondue is that everything must wallop fast. Its because the fire for the choco not strong enough so the choco after a while will turn hard and your ice cream will melt sibeh fast too >.<

Overall, it taste orgasmic ^^ Perfectly suitable to name it food porn...haha

CNY Cookies

I know its kinda late to post about CNY but i just saw the pictures that i took of cookies which i'm dying to eat them every new year...hehe

The normal ones no need know see pic also knwo right? The Love Letters, The Dragon Biscuits, and of course, The Pineapple Tarts. But a few of the cookies i tasted this year was pretty good and in it breaks from the normal ones i usually had?

This cookie taste very buttery, made by my mom's friend i think. Really nice

Aaa, this one called "ngaa ku" in chinese. I cant rmb what u call the vegi that is used to make this "potato chips" but its REALLY REALLY addictive. My family esp my dad could finish the whole darn container while watching the golf channel. It taste like potato chips but this is smaller in size and also thinner ^^

This is my ultimate fav whenever i go ppl's house. Its made of potato starch and it MELTS literally in ur mouth (har har, M&M's tagline) This cookie is REALLY soft when you hold it and it just goes *poof!* in ur mouth leaving its aftertaste SHO NICE AND SWEET!! >.< This cookie very rare. Of all the houses i've been too, only one serves this and they called it the Mama Carie (Carey?)

This unique part of this cookie is not only it taste GREAT its presentation is superb. The patterns on the cookies are all hand made and very interesting! (Something like those cappuccino milk foams?)

TGIF @ Sunway Pyramid

Basically i choose TGIF, cuz listening from wnye it kinda rocked if it was someone's birthday so ok loh. My initial plan to make my birthday was at a chinese restaurant where they have like 8 course meals and probably and pop in a cake or two. But, Wani is the only person in the whole group who isnt chinese and theres the Halal issue to deal with and didnt really wanna leave her out as she's part of the group. Sho, TGIV it is then.

So this was what i wore that day. Purple looped earings, Mini jacket (should be called cardigan right?) Purple tube dress brought by Koi and HUGE heart shaped necklace from Siew Cheng when my 17th bday...or was it 18th? And yes, i look sibeh HOT XD (No seriously, i think i look really good that day...hehe)

Well the appetizers came first and i ordered deep fried mushroom with batter and also potato with chicken. Both tasted great ^^

But then made me come down and made a silly dance with koi cuz thats the only way i could come down, to bring a partner (durh, of course koi) and play their game. Laughed a lot, wnye took a video of it and am waiting for it to be loaded in youtube. After their game, they gave me a choco fudge cake and sang the bday song ^^

And i passed around that one slice of cake so that everyone could share.

Then the whole group went back and i stay over at koi's place cuz next morning got Leon's class.

Claypot Curry Fish Head

Been wanting to talk about this for quite sometime but too lazy to post the pictures. Yes, Food porn ahead.

Now i "discovered" this restaurant all thanks to my Mom's cousin which picked this restaurant from a food guide book. Daymn i need that book. It's most famous for its curry fish head, butter squid, yam cake with dried chilies and sotong, and etc... only tried the butter squid n the curry tho which was superb!

I went there 2ce already, so this is the 3rd time i went and took pictures of it. Since it was only Nick n i, cannot order so much cuz confirm cannot eat finish =.="

The curry fish head. Unlike those that i've tried b4, this one really kau! The balance between the coconut milk and the curry powder is just nice. So when you eat, its actually more santan-ish than spicy. Well it is lah, just that its more milky.

This is my ALL TIME fav veggie. They call it French Beans but this version is thinner which they call Kwai Tao Miu. Supereb when eating it with soy sauce + Cili padi. SYOK!

The dish on the left is the butter sotong. Its really nice cuz they fry with egg and it taste sweet instead of salty. But i think it taste a bit TOO sweet =x Nevertheless, very nice snack to eat when you have a big group and everyone is in a conversation cuz this dish a LOT of sotong.

Total bill for all 3 dishes + 1 100plus + 1 Coke + 2 Plates of rice = RM46++

Affordable, yes. But best if you eat 4 ppl for this dish. Both of us cannot finish the squid n curry, had to tapau =.="

Reunion Dinner

Now, everyone knows that the Eve of CNY is crucial to any chinese family as they would have the big hoo-haa, reunion gathering. Thats when the grannies/mommies would go crazy cooking loads of dishes to accommodate everyone thats in the house for this special event.

But my mom is just to lazy to go thru all the hassle and we've been going out to restaurants/hotels for our reunion dinner. Haha =P

This year, i manage to take a few pics of what i ate but regretted not taking my cousin's pictures as there were like 15 of us in on table.

Of course the 1st dish would be the Yee Sang which according to my dad, the higher u toss, the more luck, wealth, prosperity...etc etc would come. True?

Next, my ALL TIME FAVOURITE! SHARKFIN SOUP!!! Okla, i admit that killing all the poor sharks is bad n all, but hey, i dont mind them giving me the fake sharkfin cuz i love the taste of the broth ^^ And it taste even better with pickled chili and black vineger ^^

Next we had the steam fish. Actually should be the 4 seasons but dunno y not in the menu =.=" the fish was rather cold. Stupid waitress cut till so long =.="

Then we had abalone + abalone mushroom + broccoli + oysters Not bad, but the mini abalone really...urgh >.<

The Tiger Prawn in SPecial Sauce came next, everyone had one each except my bro n sis. Poor them, i shared with sis n mom gave bro half of hers. The sauce has a combination of chili, tomato and a hint of BBQ o.o

Den it was the vegie which i hardly touch. Wait i din even touch =P

Den we have the glutinous rice with oysters and lap cheong (i didnt that the lap cheong or oysters, me no likey) pretty good. Was expecting the chicken or duck at this point.

Suddenly, it was dessert already. White fungus with sea coconut and longan IN ginseng. EWWWW >.<>

Finally, the Sweet Kueh deep fried in batter to finish up the whole course. Not bad since i dun really eat this Thee Ker.

Rating : 3/5. Not full weh!!! This is the first time, i've nvr been full in a reunion dinner =.=" i not so sure what was the restaurant but altho the food tastes pretty good, it just wasnt filling enough =(

Malacca Trip

Malacca Trip

I just went to Malacca with Nick last Monday. And the most fascinating part is that... I DROVE THERE. lolz i seriously nvr drive so far b4, so it was rather jakun of me to be very tired upon reaching...lolz The main objective that i went there is to...FIND FOOD!

I think my blog can be a food porn blog already with teh numerous of food pictures that i post =P And thinking that i dont want it to be like the last trip i had with my college friends, i got myself this Food Guide book from MPH which actually The Star recommends it. Cant remember what the title was but it has something to do with Street Food (as in hawker foods and stalls)

We left around 11am after having our breakfast and reached there around 12:30pm cuz it was a 1 and a half hour journey. Our first stop was... NYONYA FOOD! So we've reached to this restaurant near a very big food court (dunno which food court is that but they sell the cheapest n biggest curry puffs ever! 80 cents for 1!!!) I think the restaurant was called Nyonya Suan. Since i donno what to order, i asked the owner to bring whats good in their shop lor. They recommended the Asam Fish and i ordered this Nyonya Mee. The noodle was like normal kon lo mee but the fish was SUPERB! seriously, i'm drooling as i'm typing this out thinking of how it taste.... YUMMY!

We then proceed to the famous Jonker Street for more food and since i dunno where the shops located, we decided to park my car somewhere and walked to our next destination. We went to the Orang Utan House which i showed the pic of it from my last trip there. Bought a tee for myself and Par's bday present (LOL! So early right? but we found one tee that suit her best =P)

Next we had the famous Chicken Rice Balls. I dunno whats so great about it altho i'm not used to eating it. It was okay i guess... nothing much to talk about it. But the balls were too salty =x but this chicken n soup was nice. The herbal tea was super duper nice! They put like come orange or mango ordial inside to make the water taste better... syoooook!! ^^

After that we went for CENDOL! But i dun really like the malaccan way of making their cendol so nick n i shared a bowl. Yep, still not to my liking altho it was better than my previous visit... That time i think i so stupid put too much palm sugar till it tasted bitter than sweet =.="

The shop was rather easy to find as it was just the opposite the chicken rice ball restaurant. The place there is super cool. All sorts of Coke bottle EVERYWHERE! The owner even had a collection of Coke bottle all over the world.

Was really impressed and Nick cannot tahan liau, eat too much (HAHAHA) so we decided to rest a while while taking the trishaw to the A'Farmosa Fort go there snap-snap nice-nice pic, he took a sohai photo (i'll post it up, dont u worry nick) and we went back to town where our next destination awaits.

Tai Bak, which i read in the food guide book, is one of the desserts that MIGHT be extinct cuz i dont think anyone is doing it. Its kinda weird actually. Its pink n white cendol like thingy that has this flour-y taste that goes well with cincau (black jelly) and syurp water. When u eat the tai bak, den u take the cincau, ur tongue feels all tingly ...LOL serious =P

Up next we had ICE CREAM! we went back to Tun Cheng Lock street and begin to find for this really old school dessert shop. When we found it, i missed it and we had to make a HUGE round + find parking. But the place there rocks man =P It reminds me of the A&W restaurant near Amcorp Mall which serves ice-cream.

The one with the peach was mine n the back one was nick's. Nick's one is like Cendol + Ice cream. It taste pretty good. Mine was just normal Corn Ice cream with peach.

There's this ice cream they have, 2 scoups of ice cream, with whip cream (n cherry of course) and the bottom is filled with fruits. Guess what its call?

After that last meal we had in Malacca we decided to head home as it was already 7.30PM. So by the time we reach back to Kajang would be 9PM. That concludes the whole trip to Malacca =P

Zen @ Sunway Pyramid

Recently i just found out that Secret Recipe had a new cafe under the same Big Boss which is Zen. Its almost exactly like Secret Recipe but its more like a cafe instead of a bistro?

The food also almost similar but this time they have it in like smaller portions. Even their Choco Mud Cake... *drool

The other day i asked nick out for a movie with Eric, Wani n KimHui for Game Plan. It was pretty good, the show i mean. But nothing much to talk abt it tho =P

So after the movie we went to Zen n sat down n ordered. Since i ate lunch before the movie started, i wasnt to keen on having something heavy but had a craving for cakes... hence i ordered...

Nick was hungry, so he ordered a meal. He wanted the Oreo Cheese Cakes but, bwahahaha bo stock =P

Spicy Speggethi Meatballs

And i ordered this Banana with Coconut Flake. Heaven, truely heaven =P (Some weird way or another, i like bananas.... I like to eat eat eat, apples n bananas...XD)

The bill totalled was around RM30+...not bad lah cuz i left there really stuffed =.=

Rating : B+ (Oh ho ho, become food critique liau...hahha) The only difference they had from Secret Recipe is that they had this light desserts (THERE WAS DURIAN FRITTERS!) n alot of thiingamajig. You guys should go try but it really isnt advisable to bring a big bunch of ppl cuz the place is rather small...=x Situated in Pyramid 2 nearby Jusco.
